Telecom Compliance Policy (TRAI & DoT)

Effective date: 30 October 2026 · Agile Tech Experts Private Limited

Agile Tech Experts Private Limited ("Agile") supplies calling and messaging software, systems integration, equipment and managed technical services to businesses. This page explains how we work within India's telecom framework — the Telecommunications Act, 2023 and the rules made under it, TRAI regulations (including the Telecom Commercial Communications Customer Preference Regulations, 2018 as amended), and directions of the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) — and what we require from every Client.

1. Our role

  • Connectivity comes from licensed carriers. SIP trunks, PRI/E1 lines, DID, toll-free, 140-series and 160-series numbers, SMS routes and DLT registrations are provided by licensed / authorised telecom service providers ("Carriers") under their own licences and terms.
  • We provide technology. Agile supplies and manages the software (dialers, IVR, AI voice agents, PBX, messaging tools), servers, gateways and integration that use that connectivity. We do not hold ourselves out as a telecom service provider unless an Order expressly says so.
  • Every resource has an identified user. Each number, trunk, header and account used through our systems is linked to a specific, KYC-verified Client.

2. Client onboarding and KYC

Before any number, trunk, header or calling account is activated, the Client must provide:

  • certificate of incorporation or business registration, GST certificate (where registered) and PAN of the entity;
  • identity and address proof of the authorised signatory, and a board resolution or authority letter where needed;
  • the business address where the service will be used, and contact details of a responsible person;
  • a written description of the use case (for example customer support, OTP, reminders, promotions, surveys) and expected volumes;
  • a signed Client Compliance Undertaking confirming that the Client will follow TRAI, DoT and other applicable law, register on DLT in its own name, use the correct number series, hold valid consent, and bear full responsibility for its traffic and content.

We re-verify KYC periodically and whenever ownership, address, authorised person or use case changes. Carriers may also verify the Client directly and may refuse or withdraw a connection.

3. Numbers and resources assigned to a Client

  • Numbers and telecom resources belong to the Carrier and are issued to, or used by, the Client for the declared purpose only. Wherever the Carrier allows, they are issued in the Client's own name.
  • The Client is the user of record and is solely responsible for all calls, messages and content made through the numbers, headers and accounts assigned to it, including by its staff, agents, resellers and end-customers.
  • Numbers may not be transferred, resold, shared or used for another purpose without written approval from Agile and the Carrier.
  • A number may be withdrawn, suspended or changed when directed by the Carrier or an authority, on misuse, on non-payment, or at the end of the Order.

4. Commercial communication requirements

  • Principal Entity, header, template and consent-template registration on the DLT platform, in the Client's name.
  • Promotional voice calls only from 140-series numbers; service and transactional voice calls only from 160-series or other designated series.
  • Prior declaration of robo-calls / auto-dialled or pre-recorded calls and their purpose to the originating Carrier.
  • Consent and DND preferences honoured; opt-out offered in every promotional communication.
  • No CLI spoofing or masking; the displayed number must belong to the Client and be authorised for the call type.

Details are in our Acceptable Use & Anti-Spam Policy.

5. Records and lawful requests

  • We keep onboarding records, account activity logs and, where our systems handle them, call detail records (CDRs) and message logs, for at least the period required by law and our Carrier agreements (generally not less than one year), stored in India where required.
  • We cooperate with lawful requests from DoT, TRAI, Carriers, law-enforcement agencies and courts, including providing KYC and records, preserving data, and blocking or disconnecting resources.

6. Complaint handling and misuse response

  • Any complaint, Carrier alert or authority notice about a Client's traffic is acted on promptly: the campaign or resource is paused, the Client is asked for consent records and an explanation, and the matter is closed, escalated or reported.
  • Fraud, spoofing, impersonation and repeated complaints lead to termination and reporting, as set out in the Acceptable Use Policy.
  • Members of the public can report misuse to info@agiletechexpert.com or through the channels on our Grievance Redressal page.

7. Security

Access to our platforms uses individual logins with role-based permissions, encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), activity logs and least-privilege access for staff. Clients must protect their own credentials and devices, use strong passwords, and tell us immediately of any suspected compromise.

8. Allocation of responsibility

Agile's responsibility is limited to providing the technology and services described in the Order with reasonable skill and care, and to following the onboarding, monitoring and cooperation steps on this page. Responsibility for the content, recipients, consent, purpose and lawfulness of a Client's communications rests with the Client, as set out in our Terms of Service (sections 3, 13 and 14).

9. Updates

Telecom rules change often. We update this policy and our onboarding requirements when they do; Clients must follow the current rules even before this page is updated.
